How much sodium do I need?Updated a month ago

Sodium needs are highly individual and the only way to really know how much you need is to get a sweat test done. A typical sweat rate for a healthy, average-sized person hovers around the 500 mL (or 0.5l) per hour range. We see athletes who lose from as little as 200mg of sodium per litre of sweat to as much as 2,000mg/l. The climate has an big impact on how much you sweat and during cold months it's obviously less sweating.
